Affordable Childcare Options for your Whānau

Flexible enrolment options and support with childcare subsidies are available. We also work with charities, non-profit organisations and NGOs to provide additional support for families.

Free Primary Prep Sessions

Children aged 3 and over may be eligible for free kindy sessions for up to 4 hours per day, 5 days a week. At Hātea, we build on each child’s individual interests and create meaningful learning experiences that support their development and help prepare them for primary school.

Some families may be eligible for a Childcare Subsidy through Work and Income. Eligibility and approval are determined by Work and Income.

Hātea may also be able to connect eligible families with additional charity-supported assistance.
